Getting to the Root Cause

Posted by Intuition Girl

Why are you feeling the way you are? You need to ask yourself some tough questions to figure out why you are in the emotional state that seems to strangle you? There are always modifications you can make to improve your life. It is only when you turn to your inner self, you find that you have the power to better yourself and your life.

Look into the mirror. Notice the person peering back at you. Is this the person you desire to be? Are you happy with who you have become and your lifestyle? Do you want more out of your life? Is something holding you back? Many times, when you actually take the time to review your life circumstances that you discover that the person in the mirror just might be the primary place to start. It is often in these moments of reflection that you can have a helpful conversation with yourself. (Yes, having a conversation with yourself in the mirror is the best opening point to get to the root cause as to why you feel the way you do.) It is also a fine way to discover the path toward less resistance. After all, only you have the power to let go of those things from your past that may be stopping your forward progress.

After you have had a constructive conversation with yourself, what did you unearth? If you learned nothing, then you haven’t lifted the fog from your sight; and the bridge to opportunity remains unclear. Discover the root cause of your blockages by scheduling daily talks with yourself. Your soul actually knows the answer. The more you open up to yourself, the more you learn about yourself. Then only will you begin to see the bigger picture. When you look at the photo to your left, you only see a small part of a bridge. When you fine-tune your vision and you open your mind and heart, suddenly the clouded veil is lifted and you begin to see more than just bits and pieces of your life. Now you can see what lies beyond the haze…what lies right affront of you. No longer is that walk across the bridge scary. Now you have the power to feel more confident about yourself in achieving the life you want to lead. I promise you - it is not rocket science. It is simply having the willpower to move beyond your emotional battles and the obstacles you have put before yourself. Once you have clarity of vision, nothing can stop you. You are on your way home.

Beyond the Looking Glass

Posted by Intuition Girl

Do you give up before you even try? Strange how people can live behind a glass window their entire lives yet never see past the panes. Sadly, some folks have such limited view and perspective of life that they fail to discover the wealth of opportunities awaiting them on the other side.

Ancient Greek Philosopher, Epictetus said, “First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do.” It’s like making a promise to yourself to ensure that you follow through on your plans and goals. This pledge allows you to go beyond the glass barrier that keeps you from realizing your dreams. Wouldn’t it be nice to finally arrive at the place you want to be in your life?

Creating the pathway

Are you the reason your goals are being put on hold? Some of you may not take the first step because you fear failure. The good news is that if it doesn’t work out the first time, you have opportunity to learn, grow and succeed the next time. Half the joy in life is found in the adventure of your journey. Yes, there will be a few bumps and trials along the way; but imagine how dull life would be if there weren’t any challenges. Remember, the Universe only gives you what you can handle.

Once you free yourself from your internal blocks, you can begin creating the pathway to the success you want to achieve. Why limit yourself to a life viewed through a window pane? You have the ability to break the glass and take hold of those opportunities you have been missing. It is not the time to fear failure or setbacks. Set your mind to GO-mode. Do not allow anything or anyone to prevent you from moving forward. Beyond the looking glass is a field of possibilities. By expanding your outlook, you are opening and creating the pathway for yourself. Do you see it? Do you have a mental picture of the life you want to lead? What do you need to do to realize this lifestyle?

After you have visualized your new and improved lifestyle, you have already taken the essential step to creating it. You don’t need permission to succeed. You already have all the tools at your disposal. All you need is imagination, freewill and courage and believing that you can do it because the sky’s the limit. Go ahead and make your move. The Universe will pave the way!

All that Glitters is not Gold

Posted by Intuition Girl

Some of you may have let an opportunity slip through your fingertips, or perhaps you missed a chance at landing that big job because you did not act quickly enough. Maybe a relationship did not work out and you are still beating yourself up for it. But what if some of these events were simply meant to be? I want to remind you that all that glitters is not always gold. Initially when things appear to not go your way, it does not always mean that you were intended to have it in the first place.

A wise person once told me, “Everything is as it should be.” This is true in a lot of cases. In the Universal flow of energy, there are many gifts that are intended to be in your life. But there are subsequently, many things that are not. Sometimes no matter how much you may want a thing, the answer is simply, “no, not right now.” It is not because you do not deserve it, but perhaps you are not quite prepared to receive it. Timing is everything in many instances.

So many of us in life have goals and dreams that we are hoping will come true but often don’t because we are not open to examining new possibilities. We tend to keep our thought process and vision so narrow that we miss the real goal which is in the expansion of because it is only through our expansion that we are able to receive new possibilities. The best thing you can do is be open to hear and seek beyond what it is you want to what else might there be for you.

Remember sometimes your greatest gift is in not receiving what it is you thought you want but what the Universe is offering. We will always get what we need in life and what we need is very often far greater than anything we want.

Something tells me I’m into something good

Are you one of those individuals who feels stuck in a job? Or maybe you feel like you are not leading the life you want? Sometimes, when you feel out of place, you may actually be right where you are supposed to be. All things happen for a reason and often times, for your greater purpose in life. Allow me to elaborate:

Recently, a dear friend told me a story about her neighbor (we’ll call him “Barry”) she had in Florida: As fate would have it, Barry was a Cuban immigrant, who came to New York City with his life’s savings during the 1970s to make a new life for himself, his wife and his young children. As a foreigner trying to earn a decent wage in the “land of opportunity”, he knew he had to provide for his young family but jobs were scarce – especially for immigrants from a foreign country. His first goal was to attain his U.S. citizenship. Barry and his wife studied for many hours. After passing their exams, Barry traveled all around Queens seeking employment. Almost penniless and near desperation, a cosmetic sales company finally gave Barry an opportunity to prove himself as a door-to-door salesman.

A lone woman trying to sell cosmetics door-to-door was difficult enough, but a man trying to sell them was much more challenging. How could a man possibly know what a woman wanted or what her cosmetic needs were? Initially, women were quite timid to open doors to a strange young man with a cosmetic bag looped over his shoulder. What was he thinking? Day after day, he returned home yielding no successful results. This was definitely not what he had in mind. How was he going to convince his female neighbors that he was an honest, hard-working man? He was at his rope’s end. Besides this cosmetic sales company, it seemed that no one wanted to hire this Cuban immigrant; alas, he was going to be stuck in this fruitless job forever. It was then that Barry realized that it was time to sink or swim. He had to become more creative to demonstrate to others who he was and what he was doing so that he could start selling his cosmetics.

Taking some of his last savings, Barry created and distributed unique flyers offering to do a cosmetic demonstration with his wife at his home. At first, only a few potential clients came to his house. But knowing that he had to do the best he could with what he had to offer, he gave an exciting presentation and made quite a few sales. Word of mouth traveled fast, and before he could even schedule another home demonstration, neighborhood women began calling him for private home-showings. Suddenly, he had so many cosmetic sales that he couldn’t keep up with the demand. Who would’ve thought that a Cuban immigrant could become one of the top salespeople in the region?

Long story short, Barry earned such a lucrative income from his cosmetic sales that it afforded him the opportunity to not only supply a comfortable living for him and his family, but the chance to go to school to earn an engineering degree. At long last, he earned a managerial engineering career in a local governmental agency. His wife became a home proofreader for a book publisher… and his kids? They went onto college, becoming professional American businessmen and women.

This story reminds you that even if you are a dishwasher, you need to be the best dishwasher you can be. If you are a floor sweeper, you must be the best at cleaning floors. Whatever the job you have, be the best you can be so that you can open doors to new and improved opportunities for yourself. If you give up before you even try, you have already lost the battle. Learn to be more creative, find ways to be more unique, be the greatest in everything you do. And in the end, you may just find yourself becoming the success you are destined to be.

Believing is everything

Posted by Intuition Girl

Theodore Roosevelt once said, “Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” Truer words were never spoken. Imagine if Watty Piper had never written, “The Little Engine that Could“… it is one of the most beloved children’s stories of all time. It teaches both children and adults alike about the power of hard work and optimism to achieve life’s goals. Essentially, the story is based on the idea that “believing is everything” and when you believe in yourself, anything is possible.

By fine-tuning yourself toward achieving a specific goal or objective, you awaken ALL of your senses to the greater Universal flow within you. Things that were seemingly impossible to you suddenly aren’t that far out of reach. Because you are using both your inner consciousness and your alert state of mind, you can focus better on those things that before were unattainable. Aristotle understood that “hope is a waking dream“. He knew that in order to fulfill life’s destiny, not only must a person have hope and dreams, they must awaken that hope and turn those dreams into reality. Setting your path to forward means that you are going to put every effort into what it is you desire in life. You understand that realizing dreams doesn’t just call for imagining what you would like to have, it means you have to pursue those dreams full throttle. Once you start, there is no turning back!

I want you to think about something that will improve your overall lifestyle. Do you have a mental picture of it? Why do you want it? How will it benefit you? Now, ask yourself, “How am I going to achieve it?” If you are automatically saying that you cannot do it, then you have already lost belief in yourself. If you turn to your higher self, it is already giving you some clues on how to create the map to achieving what it is you want. Believe in yourself first. By doing so, half the battle has already been won.

Now that you have an illustration of creating the life you want, take out a pen and paper (or whatever you have handy) and draw out the map you see in your mind’s eye. What other items do you need to arrive at your destination? Write out your thoughts and draw out any related images. (Hint – you don’t have to be Picasso) Remember, while the Universe will help you – ultimately, you must be responsible for paving the way. The good news is that by crafting your own outline on paper, you can refer to it anytime or anywhere you want. It is a visual reminder of the things you must do to create the reality you want. Never forget that believing is everything. Believe in yourself, trust yourself, and know that what lies ahead is the future you create first in your mind and second through your actions.
