5 Tips on how to live in Happiness

“Happiness is like a butterfly. The more you chase it, the more it eludes you; but if you turn your attention to other things, it comes and sits softly on your shoulder.”
The anonymous author who wrote this passage had his heart in the right state of mind. Happiness truly is like a butterfly. Too many times, we lose our vision because we’re too busy trying to become content, when contentment has been there all along. I’m going to give you five tips on how to live in happiness so you, too, can catch your own metaphorical butterfly of bliss:
1. Get physical. Remember the old grade school song where the music teacher would sing, “If you’re happy and you know it, and you really want to show it, if you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands”? Well, you don’t have to physically clap your hands (unless you want to) — but to make your body feel healthier and free your spirit from daily rigors, a brisk walk, an impromptu happy dance, or a good physical workout can boost your immunity and improve your mental clarity. So go ahead, clap your hands, stomp your feet, and get your body moving!
2. Meditate. You don’t need a Guru to whip you into a meditation routine, but you must be committed to practicing daily positive affirmations to reinvent your mental thought processes. Focus on a time when you were most happy, or a place that makes you happiest. Once you have that mental picture in your mind, concentrate on it. Put yourself in that place. Smile. Close your eyes and take slow, deep breaths. Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale. Repeat this mental exercise as much as you need to calm your nerves. It’s amazing what a little meditation can do for the mind, body, and soul.
3. Skip the junk food. I’m no nutritionist, but I know what junk foods like greasy French fries and potato chips can do to my body. But junk foods just don’t affect your physical wellbeing; they affect your emotional state of wellness, too. When you put garbage into your body, it limits your mental capacity to think positively. Eating healthy, whole foods like nuts, and raw veggies and fruits can perk your mind, body, and spirit.
4. Journal. Why do you think diaries are such a popular-selling item? It’s not just because little girls want to share their deepest, darkest secrets – diaries, or life journals are superb emotional healing and self-growth tools that help individuals understand and resolve life problems. They’re also great to write out dreams, goals, and desires of the heart. The coolest part about journaling is that you don’t need a degree in journalism or any other special training to write out your thoughts and ideas. Think of your life journal as your personal mind notebook. When you put your goals to paper, it’s so much easier to concentrate on those goals without losing touch with reality. Try it – once you do, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
5. Smile. Do you know that frowning brings down your whole spirit? When you smile, you can feel your eyes lifting, your cheeks wincing, your forehead rising, and your whole body feels light and like it’s atop of the world. Frowning, on the other hand brings your whole composure down. Don’t be a sloucher. Smile. Laugh. Read a joke. Share a joke. Watch a comedy or a cartoon. Think back to a time where you laughed so hard that it made your stomach hurt. What made you laugh that way? Smiling is the ultimate in living in happiness. If you practice active smiling every where you go, you will attract more smiles and positivity toward you. Go ahead and smile. Because remember, when you smile, the whole world smiles with you. When you cry, you cry alone.

I AM Somebody

There are times in our lives where we reflect on where we are, who we are, and who we want to be or what we want to “get” out of life. It’s during these times that we’re at our most vulnerable. We often lose ourselves in the “could’ve been” scenarios that we really need to rise above before we can manifest the life we want to lead.
Today, I want you to stop thinking about what “could’ve been,” and focus on the “I AM somebody” thought. How you feel about yourself and what you project from yourself from this moment forward is where you need to be headed. The more you focus on the fact that you are a unique and special being capable of achieving greatness, you will suddenly find that you are riding high in the plane of conscientiousness. You must be conscientious to be aware of the potential that exists around you. Remember, you are here to serve a greater purpose in life; but you can only uncover and fulfill your life purpose by creating an environment conducive of achieving that goal.
Look into a mirror. Who is it that you see peering back at you? It’s you; wonderful you. Within your reflection is the aspiration of the person you want to see and become in life. You must know that you weren’t put onto this earth without a specific purpose. In your heart and mind are the dreams and visions that you’ve always wanted to see and realize. Now it’s time to take those dreams and visions to the next level of conscientiousness.
You can manifest your heart’s desires by harnessing your creative imagination and intuitive powers that exist solely for you. Put these powerful mental tools to work for you by spending a few moments affront of a mirror every day. Every time you peer into the looking glass, search your soul for your authentic self. What is she saying to you? What does she want you to do with your life? Who does she aspire to be? Look beyond the superficial parts of your anatomy. Look past the color of your hair, your physical shape; instead, focus on your authentic self that gives you the personality to make your dreams come true.
When you unveil the physical mask of reality, you discover that there’s an entirely new perception and retrospect of who you are and why you are an essential ingredient to the Universal flow of energy. You are at one with the world, and the faster you realize that you are somebody, the more relevant you become to the positive energetic flow that brings opportunity and abundance into your life. Don’t you want more chances to create the life you’ve always wanted to have? Learn to live at peace with your inner self – your authentic self; and you will not only begin to believe that you are somebody, but you will become the “somebody” that you were destined to be.

Who do You Love?

In his popular hit song, Bo Diddley asks the question, “Who do you love?” Today, I’m going to ask you the same question: Who do “YOU” love? Now I’m going to give you the right answer: “You.” You must love yourself first to achieve inner peace and happiness in your life. Don’t think it’s selfish to love yourself, because you are an essential part of YOU.
To manifest wealth and success in your life, you must prepare your path for greatness by learning to accept and love every part of you. You do this by training your mind and heart to work in unison with your spirit body. The fastest way to transform your life into one that is personally and professionally rewarding is to start a daily meditation ritual, which will help to rest your mind, calm your nerves, and inspire your soul. Some of my favorite meditation methods include the use of relaxation CDs, being in nature, deep-breathing techniques, and journaling. Another great tool is the Manifestation Method – this personal success program is designed to help you manifest your heart’s desires.
Which meditation tool is right for you? That depends on your individual personality. For some, deep breathing techniques may work exceptionally well. Others find that a more guided program like the Manifestation Method, might work more efficiently.
The primary reason for meditation is to teach you how to love and accept yourself for whom you are, in this moment, at this time. It’s also a great forgiveness tool. Too many of us get caught up in overwhelming feelings of guilt and sorrow. Once you are able to clear the rubbish from your mind, you are better mentally and emotionally prepared to rise above circumstance, and enjoy the nature that is you. What are you masking?

Are you wearing a mask to hide your sadness or identity? Isn’t it time you removed the facade to let your light shine through? Like the great pumpkin, you must cut away the layers of waxed skin to create a brightly-lit jack-o-lantern.
But let’s not forget that autumn is more than a time for trick-or-treating; in fact, it’s the perfect occasion to harvest the abundance that awaits you if you’re willing to realize your potential.
I can’t do it!
How many times have you thought that you just can’t go any further? How many times have you questioned your own abilities to create happiness and prosperity in your life? How often have you asked yourself, “Why should I even try?” If you’ve asked yourself any of the aforementioned questions, then it’s time to unveil your authentic self so you can rise above life’s circumstances to initiate real forward motion.
Here are a few tips to start your inner-healing process:
1. Stop beating yourself up. When you begin to over-criticize yourself, you plant negative seeds in your mind. Once these seeds take sprout, the roots of pessimism begin to implant themselves in every cell of your body, mind, and spirit. This type of thinking results in stress, anxiety, and even physical illness.
2. Replace negative thought patterns. Reinvent the way you think. Instead of focusing on everything that went wrong, I want you to concentrate on everything that can go right. Don’t say, “I can’t.” Instead, say aloud to yourself, “I can.” When life begins to get you down, throw a boomerang of happiness. When you project happiness, it comes back to you. Break here
3. Visualize your success. I can’t stress this enough. In order to start creating prosperity in your life, you must imagine the success that you can achieve. Figuratively speaking, you need to get down to the nitty-gritty details of what it is you want so you can embrace it fully. If you’re unhappy with your mundane career and are interested in pursuing a more exciting one; for example, in seeking a rewarding position as a firefighter, the first thing you need to do is imagine yourself in uniform. Imagine yourself dressed in yellow. Visualize the red fire truck, and you’re driving it to the fire scene. Whatever the career of your dreams is, you have to taste it, feel it, see it, and focus on it – every single day until you get it. In doing so, your intention transforms into action. Action results in the outcome you want.
That same methodology works well with anything that you are presently seeking. Doesn’t matter if it’s a job, a home, a relationship, health, wealth or prestige…whatever it is that your heart desires can become a reality when you remove the mask and start listening to your intuition and redefining your future.

What mask are you wearing today?

Last week, I briefly mentioned the word mask? What is a mask and how does it relate to all of us? We all have many different types of masks we like to put on each day. One maybe happiness, the other frustration and another – I have hardships.
The key for all of us is to identify the underlying meaning behind each mask and see if the one you are wearing today is serving you. If not what can you do on a daily basis to begin to make the necessary changes?
The word responsibility keeps coming up among clients and friends lately. There is change going on for so many of us right now. I used to hate change, but now I really embrace change as I have learned to fall in love with the unknown.
In order to heal and grow even deeper we must embrace what is going on and decide what we want to do about it. At the end of the day, we are all responsible for our actions and/or reactions. If we are stuck in the mud, maybe we need to enjoy that experience for a while. If we feel unhappy about being in the mud, then it is our responsibility to either call out for help or get resourceful and choose a different experience.
We are on earth and whether we like it our not–things happen! When I have been in situations that just didn’t work for me anymore or that didn’t feel comfortable, I begin to look for ways to change and create something different.
When you are tired of sitting in the mud and have really had enough you will begin to do something about it. The only way our lives are going to be different are if we take responsibility and choose different action.
