Self-Empowerment: Learning how to Love You

Posted by Intuition Girl

Supreme Court Justice, Oliver Wendell Holmes said, “Where we love is home, home that our feet may leave, but not our hearts.” Love is indeed a splendorous thing — but what it boils down to is being able to find the love within yourself to restore the harmony and balance to your authentic self.

heartcloverDeep within the core of your very existence is the special coding of whom you are — this is your authentic self.  It’s that part of your being, which is free from all external influences and inhibitions.  When you learn how to love yourself unconditionally, you are able to reconnect with your intuitive soul power; which is in essence, your authentic self.  Why reconnect with your intuitive soul power?  Because it is the direct link to the universal flow of energy that guides all things living.  We are all a part of this beautiful energy source; and when we realize the value and nature of its worth, the more compelled we are to achieve greatness in life.

First, you must learn to love yourself.  I am going to discuss a few ways that you can empower your authentic self so you can begin to trust your gut feeling and begin making the best choices for you and your life.

A Recession Shouldn’t Rule your Life – 5 Tips to Overcome Your Feelings of Insecurity

Posted by Intuition Girl

Overcoming Feelings of InsecurityWhile our economy may be experiencing a recession, it doesn’t mean that your mind and spirit need to fall into a slump as well.  I know it’s difficult sometimes; especially if you’re a worry wart, who constantly tunes into the six o’clock news to get status reports on the state of the Union. Put that aside for a moment.  I want you to focus on you. Throw away the external components of the world and take a long look at your life.  What are you doing to make your life more bearable; and beyond that, what are you doing to create happiness in your life? Following are five tips to overcome your feelings of insecurity in these sometimes stressful times:

1. Don’t make mountains out of mole hills. Many times, we become our worst own enemy because we begin to exaggerate our challenges. It’s easy to do when you allow yourself to become overwhelmed to the point of no return.  I imagine Chicken Little felt that way when he automatically assumed that the sky was falling.  Before you jump to extreme conclusions about your situation, you need to take a step backward and put your mind on rewind for a moment. Relax. Take different perspectives of your present condition.  Ask yourself:

  • What options do I have at this point?
  • What talents, tools, or skills do I have at my disposal?
  • What are my goals?
  • What goals are achievable?
  • What plan of action do I have to achieve these goals? Read the rest of this entry »

Keeping a positive outlook through the good and the bad

Posted by Intuition Girl

During these difficult economic times, how are you maintaining a positive attitude?

treasurechest2Is it the smile on your child’s face you search for every morning? Is it the wagging tail of your furry friend? Or do you crawl back into bed and hope that it all goes away? Life doesn’t always hand us the perfect recipe for success, but that’s because it’s based on a “trial and error” formula. “You can’t always get what you want…” sings rocker, Mick Jagger, but you do get what you need – and out of necessity is where you find the greatest treasure troves.

The best strategy is to not contemplate what went wrong and what may or may not happen tomorrow in your life. That’s behind you. There is a perfect explanation to why you are positioned in the place you are right now. It’s not necessarily due to “bad karma” either – so what if you pulled Jenny’s hair in the second grade? That was then, this is now. We’ve all done things as children (and even as adults) that we’re not particularly proud of, but that doesn’t make us ghastly human beings; careless with behavior maybe, but not severe enough to warrant evil kickbacks. Now here’s the ticker – the Universal flow of energy is trying to restore your balance by challenging you to take notice of opportunities that surround you. In a lot of cases, you may view these opportunities as “trials,” “roadblocks,” or simple instances of ill fate – but in the grand illusion of the reality, which is the life that we lead, there are no wrongs or rights, only lessons. Each lesson presents itself with the prospect to engage; and to encourage growth into the greatness that you are destined to become. Are you ready to accept that responsibility?

Don’t walk when you can Dance – becoming who you want to be

Posted by Intuition Girl

dancingwithscarfsHave you ever heard Lee Ann Womack’s song? The first line of her hit lyrics begins with “I hope you never lose your sense of wonder…”  Have you lost your sense of wonder and forgotten how to dance? Or worse still, you never learned how to dance? I want you to really think about those questions.  Don’t answer them yet. Reflect on your life and where you are at this present moment.  What have you done to get to where you are this day, and why do you think you are in this place?  Where are you going next?  How soon are you going to arrive at your destination?  And…while you’re thinking about these questions, I don’t want you to focus on a particular physical location…I want you to imagine how you see yourself tomorrow, next month, next year, and in 10 years from now.  It’s not where you want to be, but who you want to be.

You’ve reflected on the direction you want to take in your life; now I want you to think about your sense of wonder. If you’re not able to focus on the blessings that surround you, then you need to rediscover the power of your imagination.  Decide now that you have the knowingness and power within you to create greatness in your life.  Don’t walk when you can dance – and begin to see your challenges as opportunities. Your sense of wonder is that part of you that enables you to recall one or more inspirational moments in your life.  Draw from these experiences. Find the pulse of these wonderful moments and let this positive awareness resonate in your body like an energetic, vibrational force.  Better still; breathe these positive vibrations into your body to create momentum in every part of you.  The more you invite your sense of wonder into your life, you open yourself up to receive the blessings from the Universal flow of energy – the one, uniting force that will help guide you on your way toward becoming who you want to be.

Turn Your Commitment Around

Posted by Intuition Girl

How many of you have made a commitment to lack, despair, or better yet to what is not going your way?  Most individuals are heading in the wrong direction making many wrong turns and following many detours, instead of making a commitment to what it is they truly want.  Many set goals, write our their wishes and have great intentions but than do not follow through and focus on a daily basis with what needs to get done in order to make it happen.

The truth is you must walk the straight line to achieve what it is you want.  I recently had the opportunity to work with an aspiring singer.  As I was coaching her in my “Lifestyle Makeover Program” she became extremely clear on the type of music she wishes to create but she lacked focus on how she was going to reach her goal. She also needed to understand and create the image of how she wishes people to perceive her.  You see she needed to set the groundwork, her own foundation of what she really wants.  Her soul, mind and body all need to be in alignment in order for her to create her true reality.  Read the rest of this entry »
