Pride and Joy
Posted by Intuition Girl
Ironic how we may have all heard that phrase, “pride and joy”; and in some cases employed it ourselves (in reference to something or someone we love and revere). The challenge in having that pride and joy, is it can sometimes get in the way of our own success. We become so attached to a thing, a person or some event in our lives that we do not see any other new opportunities or pathways that will lead us to the next level.
Pride often begets complacency, which idles our movement. Now, I am not saying you should not have any pride or joy in life. In fact, I encourage you to be proud of who you are and have joy in those things that bring you happiness. What I am also telling you is the recommended dose of anything is always moderation. Remember, just like all things in life, too much of even a good thing is extreme, and can lead to negative consequences. The same holds true for those of you who might say, “I cannot live without so-and-so…” Fact is, if you are living for someone or something else, you are not living for yourself – and that is what you are missing.
Pride can sometimes confine you. Too often, you can get caught up in the whole, “I can’t do this because I may lose this or that,” or “I can’t move there because I will be away from fill in the blank.” There are opportunities in life that beg you to take full advantage, but because you are so focused on someone else or something else, you become paralyzed in the “what if’s” and the “I cant’s”. Do not become that person. Do not rehash all the things that you could potentially “lose” or all the things that may or may not be. Remember, you cannot control external circumstances, but you have the power to choose your destiny. Are you up for the challenge?
Despite what you have been brought up to think or believe, you are still the leader of your life. You have the choice and the power to decide your outcome. If you are holding yourself back because of an overwhelming sense of pride, you need to rethink your actions and behavior. Pride can be like a powerful drug. Once you are addicted to that feeling associated with a person, place or thing, you can easily miss open doors to new and positive opportunities. Do not get caught up in your own web of feelings.
How to get there…
If you are proud of your accomplishments and you enjoy your life, then perhaps this message is not for you. But if you are stuck in a repetitive lifestyle and you seem to be going backward or in circles, then heed this: Open your eyes and open your mind. Raise your awareness through meditation or prayer so that you can begin to see the potentiality that exists around you. Know that pride can be an awesome feeling, but it takes a humbling experience to truly see the possibilities that surround you.
Falling in Love all over again
Posted by Intuition Girl
I am often asked, “How do I make my partner love me again?” First and foremost, you cannot “make” anyone love you. It is up to that individual whether or not s/he is going to “love” you. Remember too, that love in a relationship is not lost; more commonly, it is that other areas in the relationship have grown and developed to include additional family members, work projects, social commitments and the like. If you are truly in love with one another, the emotional attachment can frequently be strained because life, in general, expands. We become distant from each other as we are pulled by different directions and other people in our lives. The more mature we become, the more self-evolved we become as well. It is a process in life.
To “recapture” love in a relationship, you must get back to the roots of who you are, and what it was that captivated you about your significant other. It is not always the “s/he doesn’t love me anymore” scenario; quite contrary, if you are the seeker in the relationship, then perhaps it is you who must learn to come to terms with your own successes, failures, ambitions and fears.
Getting back to the basics means to take a timeout for yourself and your loved one to rediscover the uniqueness of your individualities, to explore the past, present and future together; to collectively commit to understanding one another, to redesign your dreams together; and to enjoy each other not the way you were, but in the new way that you are today. Think about grapes on a vine. The longer they hang in the warm sun, the sweeter they become with age. That is how relationships work. Perhaps you have differing work schedules, maybe you are both recently retired, or life as a whole has been throwing some monkey wrenches your way; the more you learn to co-create and cooperate with one another, the greater chances you will survive and thrive in your relationship.
9 Tips for Falling in Love All Over Again
Modern “norms” may not coincide with the life you have shared in your relationship. Perhaps spicing your relationship with some of these modern “norms” (and many tried and true) could revitalize your love life:
1. Send an impromptu text message saying how much you love your significant other.
2. Schedule a fun date through Facebook.
3. Plant a herb garden (or just a watermelon patch if you like) with each other.
4. Plan and make an escape (a vacation) to somewhere you have never been.
5. Hold hands in public more often.
6. Schedule a movie night at the drive-in. (No, your living room does NOT count.)
7. Cook dinner together (lasagna is always fun!)
8. Tell each other DAILY one thing that you find attractive about him or her.
9. Use Twitter to “Tweet” a special code word to your significant other that only s/he will know what it means.
In the end, if you are HONESTLY trying to make your relationship work, you will find happiness and the love you have been seeking.
Using Inner Wisdom to Organize and Get Your Life back on Track
Posted by Intuition Girl
There was once a German philosopher who had a great outlook on life. Immanuel Kant believed that science is organized knowledge and wisdom is organized life. This implies that while we may be “book smart,” it is our innate wisdom that allows us to fulfill our destiny in life. How? Having an organized life is what enables us to move forward, and to let go of the past.
What is all this talk about “inner wisdom,” you say? For starters, inner wisdom (or higher consciousness) is not all just about talk…a matter of fact, inner wisdom is more of a gut feeling or intuitive inclination to guide you along in life. There really is no “right” or “wrong” approach to following your inner wisdom — you simply do. When something deep inside of you compels you to take action or to redirect your energy – that’s inner wisdom.
Because we are all part of the Universal flow of energy, and energy is an integral component to our guiding force, we must learn to rely on learned experiences and actions so that we can proficiently organize our lifestyles; and recreate the life we want to lead.
One can be intelligent, but ignorant at the same time. How so? Knowledge is indeed power, but imagine the unlimited possibilities that you could have if you coupled your knowledge with inner wisdom. The life force, which resides in you, is your intuitive soul — your metaphorical watchtower. It keeps you in sync with the flow of Universal energy and prompts you to realize your potential and your dreams. The good news is that you can use your inner wisdom to organize and get your life back on track — and that’s the most exciting part about putting your life in order — you need only add the essential element of your higher consciousness and suddenly, you see the world through a new pair of eyes; your mind is sharper; your voice and body constitution stronger; your spirit sours, and the journey ahead is crystal clear.
You are as good as you think you are

Has anyone ever told you that? Well, if someone has not, then I am here to tell you this is the absolute truth: “You are as good as you think you are.” This means that if you have enough self-confidence to persevere and the motivation and willpower to drive through the hurdles, yes, you are as good as it gets. Though we may have our individual support systems – in the end, you have yourself to rely upon to wade through the hard stuff, climb over the rocky stuff, and embrace your reward at the end of the day.
You are empowered, whether you believe it or not, to create success in every aspect of your life. You must first choose to be happy in your own state of mind. “But I’m not happy,” you say? Why not? No one is making you unhappy. In fact, no one or nothing has the power to make you feel any certain way. If you are blaming others for your feelings of lack and regret, then truly you are wallowing in your own pity pool. Step away from the anger, rise above your feelings of injustice and turn those powerful emotions into something inspiring, motivating and productive. You see, if you are going to harp on past hurts, you might as well use that energy for something that is not so counterproductive. It is not as elusive as you may think.
Is this you? “Life is NOT fair. I am sick and tired of everyone else getting ahead and all I seem to do is get stuck in the mud, why?” If this mirrors your perception and reality, perhaps you need to look to those who are getting ahead and follow their lead. Maybe it is not so much because they do more work than you but they may work smarter, and maybe they have a brighter attitude and outlook on life. When you notice that others are getting ahead of you and becoming successful in their own respective fields, then it is time to conduct a gut check on your own perception and the approach you have been taking to make progress in your own life. If you have a negative mindset and you keep believing that you are incapable of achieving those same successes, truth of the matter is that you are as good as it gets. “Yeah, but they were born with a silver spoon. They did not have it as bad as I had,” you say? If I had a nickel for every time someone used that crutch to excuse his or her own lack of motivation to get ahead in life, I would be one of the wealthiest people in this country. Stop it!
Life is NOT fair. No one said it would be. The beauty of life is that we are all born the same way: we are all equally born naked. Which means that we have the equal capacity to achieve the greatness we are destined to achieve. What this means is that we must approach life innocently and “naked” to receive the subtle messages that the Universe is attempting to send to us. If we block ourselves with negativity and hardened hearts, then we have no one else to blame for our failures but ourselves. If you are ready to attract prosperity, success and happiness in your life, then you must genuinely play the role. Stop dwelling on your emotional baggage by forgiving yourself and freeing yourself from the woes you have carried with you far too long. Remember, you are as good as you think you are!
Time travel and building your future

During the 1980s, Michael J. Fox captured millions of audiences with his Back to the Future Trilogy. In his theatrics, he allowed viewer imaginations to run wildly seeing how one small action of the past could alter the future. Truth be told, you are a time traveler right now at this very moment. Every time you actively make a choice for yourself, you are ultimately changing your destiny and your history. Believe it or not, you have the innate ability to foresee your future if you have taken the time to learn from the lessons from your past.
But how can I see my future, you ask? You predict your own future by using your intuition. You can begin to realize your full potentiality once you understand that your past does shape your future. How you use past experiences to shape your future is equally important as knowing what those past experiences were. How so, you ask? During your journey, you will experience both negative and positive events in your life. You get to choose what the criteria is to categorize these events as either negative or positive. Now, once you have lumped these events into their respective categories, I want you to think of the results of those events and how they have affected your life.
Sometimes I received a flash, a thought or an inspiration about something that could possibly help me in my career or personal life and I let it pass right through me never to be remembered again until sometime latter when I realize that if I slowed down to pay attention, I could have been in a much better position to succeed.
Your intuition uses your historical building blocks to shape your present and future. When used properly, your intuition can effectively guide you and give you the proper insight to aid you in making the right choices. Take a couple of minutes to reflect on a choice you made in your recent past and how it affected your future. We all receive messages for our health or career on a regular basis but it is how we react and act upon those messages that will determine your future success.
From the largest choices and decision to the smallest and often thought least important, we are constantly making choices that affect our lives.
