“You’ll be blessed, you’ll have the best, I promise you that…” sings Elton John (in his hit song, Blessed.) The truth is that God made a promise long before you were even created that you would be blessed by His wondrous love. That is the miracle of life; and rediscovering the hope that has been given to you even before the time of your conception.
Do you ever take the time to count your many blessings? Believe it or not, if you are able to practice your religion freely without the fear of harassment, you are actually more blessed than three billion people on earth? If you have a home to go to and a place to sleep at night, you are wealthier than 75 percent of this world? But there are many more blessings than just these examples – a matter of fact; you are blessed by the Great Divine power of the Universe, and His blessings are always within arm’s reach of you. Spring is upon us and for many of us Spring has already begun. I love the change of the seasons; it is always a sign of new beginnings—a sign of change and all new possibilities. One of the greatest gifts that Springtime brings to me is the gift of listening to the birds singing. To wake up in the morning to the chirping and songs of the birds always brings a smile to my face. The birds have plenty of messages to give us. Beautiful flowers are all planted in the ground in the neighborhood where I live in California, and of course, I have already been to the beach several times.

There is a beautiful piece written by Bob Perks titled, “I wish you enough.” And when I reflect on this inspirational passage, I imagine the sun’s glorious rays touching my face; and for just one small moment, the world seems to stand still. My one wish to you, however, is joy. Could you visualize your life to be one filled with peace and happiness? Yes – when we rediscover the joy within our hearts, it’s a transformational experience. Suddenly we find healing, strength, and the wisdom to know the difference to what really matters in life.
