Honing in on Your Listening Skills through Meditation

Posted by Intuition Girl

Emotions running rampant and can’t quite get a grasp on which direction to take in life? Ready to magnify your inner voice?  Try this on for size – mind-body medicine!  Unlike conventional medicine, mind-body techniques like meditation can add powerful substance to healing our emotions and to enhancing our mental state of awareness.

Ever heard the lyrics, what condition my condition is in, from the Song, “Just Dropped In?”  Whatever your psychological state is in, is the overall “condition” in which you act, feel, think, and live. But don’t just take my word for it; there is scientific evidence that has proven meditation’s effectiveness in treating a number of physical and mental health issues.  Among the many physical conditions that meditation has helped treat include coronary artery disease, arthritis, and chronic pain.  In addition, meditation has proven to be a natural immune system booster…but, if mind-body medicine can do all this, imagine what it can do for your emotional state?

Though rooted in spiritual Eastern practices — think of meditation as an intellectual exercise that will positively charge your inner voice. The first step to meditation is to relax your body and your mind.

Find a comfortable place where you can sit down and rest.  The goal is for you to discard any mental thoughts or worries from your head.  To do this, I want you to close your eyes, take a deep breath in, and slowly exhale.  Now focus on a place where you are happiest in your mind.  Search your visual memory bank for a beach, a sunset, an open field, a place in your childhood…wherever you feel the most safe and comfortable to free your inhibition. Are you there yet?

Use this suspended state of altered consciousness to rediscover your voice.  Your higher self is desperately trying to communicate with you. When you place yourself in this meditative state, you are honing in on your listening skills, and are raising your mental awareness to a level where you can find resolution and the direction that you can now take to begin your journey to emotional healing.

Are you a Control Fanatic?

Posted by Intuition Girl

If you are, you might be hindering your advancement as well as the progress of others. It is okay to want things and to acquire success, but sometimes, we allow our personal goals and ulterior needs and motives to get in the way of overall growth. How, you ask?  Just look around you, we are experiencing pain and suffering all around the world because people, individually and collectively are not making choices based on the overall good of the masses.  We have compromised our values and principles. The simple resolution to this and other situations requires us to take a look at the following possibilities.

  1. Always put people before profits. It does not matter in what profession you practice. Whether you are a mechanic, a doctor, a politician, a foreman, a counselor or an attorney – you must always think of the people that work for you, work with you, and those for whom you work. When you put others first, you are paving the road to success with compassion and passion – and that is the core factor to achieving overall health, wealth and happiness.
  2. Plan ahead. Someone once told me that we must have the right preparations and ingredients to run any business. That means that if you are willing to go the extra distance, you can create a long-term map for success.  Sometimes that means that we have to commit ourselves to longer hours and more motivation but always it means that we must maintain integrity. Proper preparation is everything.
  3. Do NOT use short cuts. Sometimes when we travel, we are tempted to use short cuts to get somewhere faster or cheaper. In business, shortcuts often create shortcomings.  Speed does not usually create the best results; accuracy and careful attention to details by those who specialize must be recognized and acknowledged.  Putting your efforts into those specific areas where you excel will enable you to create quality workmanship in all endeavors.
  4. Cooperation. When professionals work together, each brings his own vital insight and wisdom to the proverbial dinner table.  Each has his own unique technique and vantage point that somehow creates a powerful mix of not only diversity but often the best solution.  You might want to re-evaluate how your lack of cooperative efforts have fallen to the wayside and possibly caused complacency. When we cooperate in harmony, we are all giving and receiving quality “input” to produce a more creative array of wealth and productivity.
  5. Communication. This is the simplest, most transparent yet often forgotten component to business success. We often encounter situations where there are plenty of sheriffs but not nearly enough deputies. Everyone has something to say, and in the cross-fire of the chatter, nothing gets accomplished and nothing of importance gets heard.  We must learn to speak with our cohorts and not at or down to them. When we understand that working together for a common goal is beneficial to all concerned, we soon discover the sweet feelings of success, a sense of peace of mind and the wonderful taste of victory.
  6. Complacency breeds neglect! All too often we easily become accustomed to doing things in a certain manner or completing tasks a particular way. Sometimes, we have to step off the beaten path and bask in the newness of innovation. Learn to listen to what others might offer you in advice—look at their comments and remarks as possible clues or leads to follow. It certainly helps if you can learn to listen to your gut feeling. Sometimes you have to re-evaluate your methodologies to jumpstart a more effective model for both your professional and your personal life!
  7. Invest in your future successes! Put time and money aside for improving knowledge and information.  It is so wonderful to experience our successes but it is vital to our future success for each one of us to place money and time aside to for continual education.  I encourage you to continually improve your success, one must improve their knowledge and understandings of information that will help us continue to grow and improve our techniques as we ultimately realize our full potential and future and continued successes.

It is important to remember that you can always seek help from a professional life coach, who can assist you in manifesting success in all areas of your business and personal life.  Becoming a winner is just a phone call away – let me show you how to properly use your business savvy by combining your intuition and your zest for success to create the successful lifestyle you have always wanted.

Forgiveness: Expanding your Prospects

Posted by Intuition Girl

Renowned Dutch botanist, Paul Boese once said, “Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does enlarge the future.” Let’s reflect on that statement for just a moment. Imagine if every time Edison or Franklin had gotten negative results and they simply gave up. Nope, not going to do it … no, they did not – thankfully. Without their willingness to forgive themselves for their miscalculations and follies, we would not have much of the technology that we have today.

In order to expand our prospects and to reveal our true destinies, we have to look beyond our emotional hurts, beyond our misgivings, and beyond the pain that we have inflicted upon ourselves throughout the years. Life is a journey and a constant experiment. The more we experience life, the more we begin to grasp the solidity of the Universal flow of energy. This is where self-forgiveness enables us to truly identify with our authentic self and our higher potentiality. When Boese talked about forgiveness, he was quite right in his summation. We cannot change our past, but we can alter the course of our future. And the first way to do that is to offer forgiveness not only to those who have brought pain upon us, but in forgiving ourselves for the pain that we have inflicted upon ourselves. Holding onto extra emotional baggage simply weighs us down; delaying and impeding us from moving forward.

Onto what are you still clinging? Why do you continue to punish yourself with negative feelings of animosity, vengefulness, jealousy, regret, sorrow or resentment? Imagine a stream flowing gently along and right when it is supposed to reach a waterfall, there is a dam blocking the way. Suddenly, the stream backs up and begins to flood the banks. That is what happens when we do not forgive ourselves. We build an emotional dam that does not allow us to move freely and in forward motion. Before too long, we flood ourselves with raw emotions that take over our lives and our lifestyles. Our unforgiving emotions have begun to control our every thought, word and action. This stops us from broadening our future and our horizons.

From this moment on, I want you to free the dam of your emotions so you can expand your prospects. If a flower can open its petals and reveal its inner beauty, then you too, can free your mind and your heart to the inner beauty that you possess. Forgive yourself first so you can reap the opportunities that lie ahead of you now.

I am offering a 5-Week Program on the topic of “Forgivenesss.” During those 5 weeks, we will be tackling many of the thoughts, beliefs and inner turmoil that we often experience while we are feeling hurt, angry or simply blocked against any one or any thing that will helps us heal and flow. Nine times out of ten, you are holding onto old emotional wounds that are preventing you from making wise decisions about your life and the direction you need to take to create a more rewarding, purpose-filled life.

If we refuse to heal ourselves, how can we begin to help heal those around us and the environment in which we live? In order to release your emotional stress and mental baggage from the past, you must find the power and strength within to heal yourself and others.

Emotional healing is an inside job! You must forgive yourself from your past hurts, pains, neglect, abuse, guilt and shame, among other negative feelings so that you can reclaim the joy-filled life you deserve to be living.

What choices do you make for yourself each and every day? If you are choosing to hang on to your hurtful feelings, then you are not making the right choices for you or your wellbeing. 5 Tips on the Art of Forgiveness

Posted by Intuition Girl

Are you stuck in a rut and cannot seem to find the end of the tunnel?  Did you ever think that you might possibly be preventing yourself from moving forward by holding onto past hurts and other emotional baggage?  In my practice, I have met so many clients who truly want to change the course of their direction but simply have no clue on how to proceed. I have found that the initial step to creating wealth and prosperity in life is to first learn the art of forgiveness. Don’t laugh. I mean it. We all hold onto resentful feelings and guilt. We let these emotions take over our daily living and even our entire lifetimes. It’s not easy carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders when you’re trying to climb a mountain.

Let’s discuss five tips that can help you learn the art of forgiveness so you too, can begin to enjoy the fruits of your labor without the added stress of that heavy load you’ve been shouldering. From here on out, I want you to remember the acronym: SILLY

  1. Strategize. With any successful encounter, we have to plan a strategy that works best to benefit our individual lifestyles.  What do you really want out of life? If you are trying to climb the corporate ladder or just want to find peace with a significant other, then you must gear yourself up to meet the task at hand. That means you need to come to terms with your emotions and draw out a plan of action to put those monsters to rest. First, write out all the feelings you’ve been harboring: guilt, anger, frustration, malaise, intimidation, inferiority, low self-esteem, hatred, sorrow… you name it, write it down. Now, look at that list. One by one, I want you to try and recreate each feeling associated with the word you have written. Can’t do it, can you? Good. Next, cross off each word on your list. Breathe in. Smile. That’s the first step.
  2. Implement. Since you’ve crossed off your list of negative emotions, you’ve already made a major step toward realizing your potentiality through forgiveness. Let’s take that and run with it… say aloud to your self: “I forgive myself for ___________ (fill in the blank). My emotions no longer have control over me. I am in control of my life. No words or feelings can stop me from moving forward from this moment onward.”
  3. Learn. We’ve all had past encounters that weren’t always the best experiences. The good news is that when we allow forgiveness in our lives, we are forgiving ourselves and releasing all the negative energies that have infiltrated our daily routines and relationships. Know from your experiences that learning forgiveness is fundamental in creating happiness in life. Whether it’s an old supervisor who seemingly drove you to the brink of insanity, or a past love that may have broken your heart… only you have the power over your emotions. Your boss didn’t make you insane. Your significant other did not break your heart. In all actuality, it was your emotions getting the better of you. So let’s learn from those experiences and know that only you can determine your feelings and the outcome of those feelings.
  4. Love.Ah, love is such a simple four-letter word but it holds such deep and profound meaning in itself. When you forgive yourself, you are honoring yourself and replenishing the love within you. Just as a beautiful rose bud opens to full blossom, you too will open to your full potential when you learn to love and forgive yourself so that you can become the beautiful rose among the thorns that life may toss your way.
  5. You. You are a magnificent living thing. When you focus on yourself and learn that you have so many powerful and wonderful things going for you, you begin to understand the nature of life and how to better cope with negative events and encounters. When you breathe, are you intentionally working to breathe or is your inherent life force doing that for you? Your life force is the central, most significant aspect of your daily life. It keeps your heart pumping, your lungs breathing, your eyes seeing, your nose smelling, your ears hearing… and somewhere in the mix of all these actions is your intuitive consciousness that allows you to see beyond the realm of your physical constitution. Your intuitive consciousness is also a constant. It never waivers. It never falters. But it is there for you and with you. It is that essence of “You” within that when released from the burdens of negativity becomes the abundant source of your very beingness. And it all begins with the art of forgiveness.

Isn’t it time to become SILLY, bask in your uniqueness and just let forgiveness back into your heart so you can be the best you can be? Let me help you take your life journey to the next level by joining me on my upcoming Program on Forgiveness…you have nothing to lose and opportunities to gain!
